Held at the same location as last year, we were hoping for a better day after the trip into the field at what has now been given a name (more of that later). We had a small mishap on the sighting lap when due to a faulty bonnet catch, the bonnet came up and was pulled off its mounts by the wind. With a temporary repair made we were soon out and up to speed.
That was the only drama of the day, the rest was fast laps and set up changes and trials (including the new in-car camera) all in preparation for our fist event. Liam even had a bit of instruction from a much more experienced driver, who's advice has been taken on board and will be put into place.
Thanks to Darran and Lea for their assistance throughout the year, we hope you enjoyed the rides, in both the cars !
Bad luck to the driver of the Peugeot 205 who rolled his car at the same corner as I had the mishap with the Nova last year, its now being called "Peter and Pauls Bend" after the names of the drivers who rolled their cars !
